Are you looking for permanent answers to clean, safe food for your family? Are you tired of government recalls, www.npr.org/blogs/thetwo-way/2010/08/18/129287851/fda-expands-nationwide-egg-recall ? Yet, United Egg Producers, following the standards set forth by the govenment, still insists that their eggs are safe, see this video, www.usaeggfarming.com/videos.html , and decide for yourself. Ever wonder about all the warnings of egg food safety on each carton of eggs you buy at the store?
It's time for people to start questioning the "safety" of their food, instead of relying government standards, look to God's standards for food safety. He made the animals to live a certain kind of life and when mankind changes that perfect system, diseases and problems will occur.
Chickens are made to be out in the sunshine and pasture; eating bugs, grit, dirt, greens, fermented greens (i.e. manure), compost, and other omnivore animals. See this article if you have never heard of some of these food items for chickens, www.westonaprice.org/farm-a-ranch/1971-chickens-are-omnivores-its-no-dilemma.html. God didn't make the chicken to be caged up, never seeing daylight or never getting to run around getting exercise.
Though the government will say that eating raw eggs is unsafe, and it is unsafe for conventional eggs, our family's FAVORITE WAY of eating eggs is RUSSIAN CUSTARD, which contains RAW EGGS! Check out the recipe page for this wonderful, healthy recipe. Also, check out the recipe for homemade ice cream, which of course, uses RAW EGGS!
And in case you're thinking that egg substitutes might be a good idea, check out this article, www.westonaprice.org/abcs-of-nutrition/164-whats-wrong-with-pc-nutrition.html.
Want to learn more about the difference between conventional eggs and pastured eggs? Check out these websites: www.motherearthnews.com/Relish/Free-Range-Versus-Pastured-Chicken-And-Eggs.aspx
www.motherearthnews.com/Relish/Pastured-Eggs-Vitamin-D-Content.aspx
Seek out a local grass-based farmer who really cares about his animals to give the kind of living environment God designed for them to have. You'll taste the difference and be healthier for it!

Re: Looking for Safe Eggs?
I have been to the Turning Ranch and have eaten the safe and wholesome eggs they have there. They are delicious! Everyday I had breakfast with farm fresh eggs. I admit the first time I had the eggs, I was surprised by the color of the yolks, a bright orange! But the taste was great and I enjoyed watching the chickens running around outside (the chickens tasted great, too!). I highly recommend the farm fresh, safe eggs. Try some today.

The Turning Ranch's eggs are wonderful, I don't have any preoccupation with them.. We like to drink them raw in our smoothies!!!, because they are fresh and really safe...

Re: Looking for Safe Eggs?
Well, as some other farmer friends have on their home answering machine...."if we don't pick up we're probably out taking care of the animals".When we don't get blogs published, we're probably out taking care of the animals. Be patient...I have several blogs "in the works" and probably a dozen more to write about as soon as my DH gets the pictures downloaded :)In the meantime, check out the video under "What's New" on the home page. Glad to know you're checking on us Uncle Al :)
