Boys with Bluebonnets

I love bluebonnets!  I can't seem to get enough of them.  This year, I'm getting to enjoy them most every day, as they are all along the highways that I travel when I go shopping.  I've never lived anywhere before where I could enjoy them as I can this year.

Being a native Texan from the panhandle, we didn't see very many (if ANY!).  Occasionally I'd get to see some in the Hill Country, but my first real look at them was when I lived in South Texas.  My job as an Extension Agent required us to travel for district meetings, and it was going to one of those meetings that I saw my first field of wildflowers.  Bluebonnets, Indian paintbrushes and another one (yellow) just filled the field with blue, red and yellow color.  I had never seen such beauty!

Now, we're in northeast Texas and along the state highways they are blooming profusely.  The other day I couldn't pass up the opportunity to get a picture of the boys with the bluebonnets.  It has quickly become my favorite!
